Transfers 2024/2025

 

  • A student may apply for transfer to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the Medical University of Warsaw from another university. Approval for transfer must be granted by the Dean of the first faculty.
  • Students with pending failed exams are not eligible for transfer.
  • Transfer of a student from another university to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry can take place only in the event of a vacancy in a particular field of study and years of study.
  • The transfer can be made only from the beginning of the new academic year.
  • In the case of large curricular differences and the resulting lack of organizational capacity of the University in arranging the schedule for making up the aforementioned curricular differences, the Dean may not agree to the admission of students by transfer.
  • For the compensation of program differences, the student is charged a fee.
  • The decision on transfer shall be made by the Dean, based on the application submitted together with the documents listed below.
  • A candidate submitting documents issued in a foreign language is required to include a translation into Polish or English made by a sworn translator.
  • Incomplete documents will not be accepted and considered.

 

A student applying for transfer to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of Warsaw Medical University must submit the following copies (not originals) of documents:

1. Application with a letter of intent stating the reason for transfer.

2. Consent of the Dean of the University from which the student would like to transfer.

3. A copy of the student's academic record confirming completion of the year(s) of study, courses taken, number of hours, type of credits, grades earned, documents confirming the completion of summer student internships. In some cases, a copy of the curriculum may be requested by the Dean's Office.

4. A certificate from the dean's office confirming the average exam grades for each year of study and the number of points obtained during the course of admission process 

5. A copy of the official high school diploma or other certificate of eligibility must be apostilled:

      a. Apostille in the case of documents issued in countries that are parties to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961.

      b. Applicants with an IB/EB diploma need not have an apostille on their official high school diploma.

6. A copy of the applicant's English language certificate (not applicable to native speakers of English)

  • IELTS exam passed with not less than 6.0 points ,  
  • TOEFL examination with at least 90 points,
  • CEFR examination at B2 level,
  • TOEIC exam with not less than 700 points. 

7. Photocopy of the first page of the passport (page with personal data and photograph)

 

Students transferring from other universities with different programs may continue in the appropriate year of study provided they catch up on their work. Individual decisions may be made by the Dean.

 

Note: For the 2023/2024 academic year, transfers to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of study will be considered.
